The End of those who mock and play God

“The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,  Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God,

While this is for the prince of Tyrus, whose name was Ethbaal a phonecian king/priest living during the time of Jezebel, like many things in the word of God it has several levels of meaning. We can also pretty safely assume that it is applied to any type of prince. The evil one is also considered the prince of this world and those who follow him as anti-christs.

“I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:”

This implies that the person is also calling himself God’s vicegerent. Setting themself up as a god even. They may knowingly be telling people falsehoods. Like repentance is optional, it’s OK to take from someone or hurt them in any way. Sounds ridiculous that any man or women of God could be tricked to do anything even theoretically  harmful to anything or anyone, but this is the time of strong delusions. The evil one is tricking people and acting in ways that are counter to God’s laws, statutes, and commandments. Also it is God who sends the strong delusions.

“Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures:”

Here God is telling him/them they have created thier own prosperity. It was not a gift of grace from the will of God. This is a big deal. I know many people, myself and my wife for example, know that everything good is from God and it is by his grace that he protects us during our time here on earth while we earn a righteous living and serve him. If were called to become full time servants he even provides all things we need!

“By thy great wisdom and by thy traffick hast thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches: Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;  Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness. They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.”

Wow! Let you imagination run with the implications here.

“Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.  Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God

Those who now may think they have even “magic like” powers will experience first hand what the wrath of  God is like.

Repent, Jesus of Nazareth died for you. Please repent.
