Weapons of the Bible

The sword of the spirit is the best weapon, and the Armor of God the best and only true defense but here are some weapons in the bible.

This was Slus’s on Yahoo Answers Findings BTW:

Some biblical weapons are:

חרב – pronounced kherev – sword. Mentioned over 100 times in the bible  Exodus 5 21.

חרב פיפיות – pronounced kherev pipiyot – two-edged sword – psalms 149 6.

רומח – pronounced romakh – lance. Mentioned twice in the bible, Book of Numbers 25 7, where it is strangely translated to “javelin”.

כידון – pronounced kidon – javelin – Job 41 29.

סיף – pronounced sayif – fencing sword. Mentioned 3 times in the Maimonides writings.

חנית – pronounced khanit – spear. Mentioned 13 times in the bible, for example 1 samuel 13 19.

Other Hebrew names for weapons:

אלה – pronounced alla – club.

דקר – pronounced deker – pick,

פגיון – pronounced pig’yon – dagger.

קשת – pronounced keshet – bow.

חץ – pronounced khets – arrow.

Weapons of the Bible

Though a lion and wolf may tear flesh and kill, an many a bird will eat thereof. To wait on the LORD God to fill your table is a fruit indeed. For nothing abominable shall enter the kingdom of God but shall be cast into the lake fire.

May God have Mercy on us.

Ezekiel 18 15:17

“That hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, hath not defiled his neighbour’s wife, Neither hath oppressed any, hath not withholden the pledge, neither hath spoiled by violence, but hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment,”

“that hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.”

Most of us living on earth in the 20th and 21st centuries need Jesus’s offer of forgiveness. Yet here we see that those that do not worship lower case gods and obey God are ok. Even if their ancestors did wrong.

Proverbs 11 17:18

17 “The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.”

18 “The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.”

19  “As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.”

If you don’t think God is going to get the evildoers in the last day of the end of days your living in a temporal fantasy world.

Gods way is the only way and it’s not bad, it’s easy to be nice. Even if you slip or even fall his mercy endures forever for them that fear him.

But beware and repent for his wrath also endures forever for those who don’t.

Hosea 6

Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.”

God’s mercy is allowing his people to come before him again to be revived after a time of affliction. Keep that in mind if the warfare against you has seemed to peaked. Notice the three days like in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.”

Like a morning after a long night of darkness the will of the merciful God will be seen.

This is the actual rain cycle in the middle east since they experience two major rains a year. Spring when seed was sown and autum just before harvest time.

Some see the latter rain as a “refreshing” It might also signify wrath in that it comes near the harvest. Any farmer will tell you too much rain during the time of the harvest can damage crops and lower yeilds. Or it’s a blessed rain before the harvest that refreshes the fruit to a greater quality. Since “healing what is smitten” and “revive” is mentioned it sounds like a rain of God’s Healing Grace after a time of conflict.

God’s grace, and our faith, repentance and works will impact the quality of the fruit we produce.

O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.”

After all the mercy God has shown, during affliction much of the repentance, righteousness, faith, goodness, patience, joy, temperance of his people quickly dries up. We all must learn to endure. These are the fruits that God is looking for.

In this historical case many of his people abandoned him and started to practice idolatry and the worship of lower case gods.

“Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth”

This is the axe at the tree and branch that Jesus and John the Baptist representing the light of God talk of. We must ask for mercy, grace and more time to bear fruit.

“For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.”

God would rather have mercy, pity, and compassion on us. All we have to do is return to him and Obey him. He’s even reached out to us personally with the offer or  forgiveness by the grace and blood sacrifice of Jesus. Instead many people are mocking God.

“Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity,”

Gilead is one of the cities of refuge located beyond the Jordan river and inhabited by the tribes of Gad and Reuben and some to the tribe of Manasseh.

“and is polluted with blood.”

They either sheltered the truly guilty or surrendered the inocent probably for the sake of money. There is also evidence they worshiped Moloch and did human sacrifice mainly of children.

“And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.”

There is record that during this time apostate priests murdered people who didn’t worship the lower case gods at Dan and Bethel. It’s an organized group effort. That’s OK God see all the evil ones only prosper for a moment.  Also Temple prostitutes were common.

“I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim,”

Ephraim is one of the ten tribes of Israel and Jeroboam their king/prince, while destroying some of the altars of false gods they left the idols of two Cow or Calfs. So they did wickness in the sight of God Almighty.

“Israel is defiled.”

All ten tribes were infected with both spirtual and sexual whoredoms.

“Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.”

God has set an appointed time for his harvest, if they repent it will be joyfilled. If not it will be a time of vengeance.

Pray for Grace for many and may Jesus Christ Bless you.

Weapons of the Bible

God defeats giants. We know about Goliath and Gideons 300 here is another example. One we should be aware of lest we be pridefull.

Deuteronomy 9 15

“Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven, A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!”

The threat against them was big but God is allways bigger.

“Understand therefore this day, that the Lord thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the Lord hath said unto thee.”

Don’t doubt it Gods promises are allways fufilled.

“Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the Lord thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the Lord hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the Lord doth drive them out from before thee. Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

He warns them not because of thier righteousness. He is doing it because he promised.

It also helped that the nations and people were tremendously wicked. It sounds like they may have been so evil as to spiritually contaminate the land itself. That’s OK when God people occupy the same space it’s blessed.

You and I are also not good, no enity but God alone is truly good. He does what he does for his own will. So never get prideful when he defeats your enemy for you. it’s not about you it. Also pray to be blessed and bless you wherever you plan on going, no mater if it’s work, home or the store.

Believer (pisteuo pist-yoo’-o) =have faith.

Mark 5:36

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”

We are, if we believe in Jesus of Nazareth:

1. Justified by the righteousness of Christ

2. We are pardoned through his blood (As if you prepared the sacrificial offering for offences)

3. Atonement has been made by his sacrifice.

4. Saved by grace. God’s tolerance to any backsliding is up to him and your genuine sorrowfulness.

Disciple(mathetes math-ay-tes’)= A teacher, where Jesus and the Gosplel become a profession.

Luke 14:33

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.”

Yes it’s a big commitment. That’s why many Churches take care of the housing and even a stipend for a car for their pastors. God does give you time to transition into this position. He knows your situation. Don’t let the enemies efforts stop you. Also don’t think you have to go through a denominations university to be a disciple. If your called you know it and just do. I live in a state where ministers have to be “licensed” so in order to go to strangers that are sick, in prison, or even directly provide food with out “institution” in the middle is very difficult. Just do what you can.

Apostle(Apostolos)= A delegate, or ambassador  of Jesus Christ with miraculous powers.

Mark 16:17

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

If you look in the New Testament you see the miracles performed by them. Many actuly know or knew Jesus personaly. In the early church some ministers were also called apostles.

Dammed (Katakrino kat-act-ree’-no)=Judged, sentenced.  it’s a word with large and terrible meaning. The Good news it only appears 15 times in the Bible and only in the new testament, and as long as you have breath YOU CAN REPENT ! and accept Jesus.

Mark 16:17

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 5 26:28

For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;  And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Don’t be fooled by the Devil and his minions. The only way to be damned is not believing in Jesus of Nazareth the Christ and hating him or doing evil. If people hate you then they hate Christ and if they hate Christ they hate God.

If you believe that Jesus is who he said he is you and can’t be damned.Get yourself baptised, forgive, repent and be saved! If you don’t belive let the word of God speak for itself.  I’ve seen miracles and have been hated, threatened actually, while bearing my cross. It’s not easy but it is the way of Truth the light an the life.

May God bless and keep the faith. Consider becoming a servant of the LORD God and Jesus Christ while you can.

Luke 5:20

“And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.

Isaiah 40 3:7

“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:  And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:  The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”

The God of all creation in allowing things to happen. Don’t think for a minute that evil will prevail it is the LORD’s doing,

“O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!  Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young”

1. Accept the good shepard, Jesus of Nazareth.

2. Admit your sins to God. Confess  All.  He sees them anyway, remember Adam?

3. Repent of you sins,  feel nicham (נחם)=to feel sorrow and teshuvah (תְּשׁוּבָה)=return to God.

4.* Show it an make amends for your sins that effect others. Even asking God to intercede.

5. Forgive others, and accept your forgiveness, ask forgiveness from others (mechlia)**  for the time is short.

*Jesus knowing the mind of man does not elaborate on seeking forgiveness from others since stiff necks and harden hearts abound, but you DO NEED to forgive others before you are forgiven.

**However there is allot to be said about if you feel genuine sorrowfulness for your actions you would make amends and ask God what to do to make amends with him and the ones you may have negatively effected. This is a big and accepted concept with a Hebrew word for it and I believe it can be shown with many examples in the old testament. The law and the prophets do unto others as you would have done to yourself.

Remember part of repentance is confessing your sins to God, he sees all and if your trying to hide something he will know it and his word , both written and made flesh, will Judge you.

We are, if we belive in Jesus of Nazareth:

1.  Justified by the righteousness of Christ

2.  We are pardond through his blood

3.  Atonement has been made by his sacrifice

We now are obligated to try an maintain of a state Repentance, and Forgiveness of others.

We know that seven Spirts of God see all. Even if it where possible that the warfare against us might cause our prayers, or more likely, the answers to them to be transitly delayed or interupted. As illustrated in Danile.

Daniel 10: 12:13

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia”

Know that God still sees you and your enemies, and he can’t be fooled.

Do you have any one that you haven’t be able to forgive? Ask for Jesus to heal your wounded spirt, and forgive them. Remember they are being negativly influenced by a real and dangerous external force.

Who is trying just as hard to destroy you and your faith as he is trying to destroy them !

Be the big person and forgive first. By the grace of God and the Holy spirit I was able to forgive:

1. Someone that stole a very valuable intellectual property concept from me off of paperwork that was allegedly designed to protect me.

2. Forgive a family member of an epic of allegations that would have been too over the top to be used as a plot line on most soap operas.

3.  After sharing the gospel of repentance in my neighborhood an out right lie of some unidentified neighbor has cost much, and I’m not thinking of my costs but of theirs since I know how God sees those who bare false testimony.

This was all before I found out how active the evil one and his minions are functioning here on the earth.

They don’t sleep.

Proverbs 4 16:18

“For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day

Also I like to add the repentance /repent shows up 66 times in the Bible, as many as the number of books contained in the Bible! It does mean to stop sinning before God, but if your sins hurt someone you should try and make amends. At least that’s the way I have always felt and it seems the Hebrew word for repent backs up that feeling.

Most times our sins only hurt us and disappoint God, which is bad enough though if your sin has hurt others.  Seriously  think about doing to others as you would have done to you. It might do you help you more then you think.

Matthew 7:12

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.”

May God bless you.

Weapons of the Bible

God says witches should not be suffered to live and sorcerers and wizards should be stoned, but has given them time to repent.

Example: Jezebel had 22 years of warnings to repent and the city of Nineveh 40 days.

Now don’t curse, zap, or attack the messenger! I’ve met and known several people over the years that claim they once did such things,  and I  like and love them and desire that they be saved. I believe many think they help more then they hurt but the word of God says not to do it. What ever it is they do.

Attacking me in anyway is futile and your wasting your time. I’m covered by the blood of Jesus and washed white as new fallen snow. I’m also a servant of God, and know the word of God and he revives hearts and spirits and restores souls. I’m just trying to inform people of the true word of God almighty. To help and save people.

The LORD God through Jesus will accept you if you honestly repent.

That is as long as people have not taken the number of the beast, make an image of the beast and worship it. Which I’m not even sure you could do now since the beast boldly appears as a public spectacle in the Bible and I don’t think it’s made its public appearance yet. People can still repent. If I’m wrong please comment.

Look,  though I’ve always been a God fearer,

I’ve studied in detail just about every attempt to create a Utopian Society, Dozens of religions, and humanist philosophies in the first 39 years of my life starting from the first grade. Yes my mom taught me to read very early. Anyhow…

I TELL YOU JESUS CHRIST IS REAL, God is who he says he is. So is the Evil One and he and his minions  have been very busy in the last 10 years or so. Not that they ever were idle since as Jesus says the time of John the Baptist there’s been a war in heaven.

Now I’ve included a open source commentary on this topic from John Gill.

“Woe to the bloody city,”

Nineveh, in which many murders were daily committed; innocent blood shed; the lives of men taken away, under the colour of justice, by false witnesses, and other unlawful methods; and which was continually making war with neighbouring nations, and shedding their blood, which it stuck not at, to enlarge its wealth and dominions; and therefore “woe” is denounced against it; and it is threatened with the righteous judgments of God, with all sorts of calamity and distress: or, “O bloody city”, as the Septuagint; for the word used is vocative, and expressive of calling, as Aben Ezra and Kimchi observe:

“it [is] all full of lies [and] robbery;”

the palace and court; the houses of noblemen and common persons were full of flattery and deceit; men of high degree were a lie, and men of low degree vanity; no man could trust another, or believe what he said; there were no truth, honesty, and faithfulness, in conversation or commerce; their warehouses were full of goods, got by rapine and violence; and their streets full of robbers and robberies:

“the prey departeth not;”

they go on in making a prey of their neighbours, in pillaging and plundering their substance; they repent not of such evil practices, nor desist from them; or because of the above sins they shall fall a prey to the enemy, who will not cease plundering them till he has utterly stripped them of all they have; and who is represented in the next verse Na 3:2 as just at hand

Because of the multitudes of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot,

Meaning Nineveh; which, as it was an ancient city, was a well built one; full of stately and beautiful buildings, the seat of the kings of Assyria, and the metropolis of the nation, and abounded with wealth and riches; perhaps here may be an allusion to the name of the city, and to the signification of it; for Nineveh may have its name from the beauty of it, and be read, in Hebrew, hwn yan or ywn, and may signify a beautiful or pleasant habitation; so Hillerus {x} and Cocceius {y} give the etymology of it; which agrees with its delightful situation on the banks of the river Tigris, and the stately edifices in it, as the king’s palace, and others; just as Zion is said to be “beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth”, Ps 48:2 and the epithet of “well favoured” well agrees with a harlot, whose beauty is engaging and ensnaring, as Lais, and others; particularly Semiramis, the wife of Ninus, from whom it is generally thought Nineveh had its name, was first a harlot, and one of exceeding beauty, who surpassed all others in it; on account of which she was beloved by the king of Assyria, and after a short time made his wife, and then he delivered the government of the kingdom to her {z}; yea, Sardanapalus the Last, and at this time the present king of the Assyrians, was very effeminate, used to dress himself in women’s clothes, imitate a woman’s voice, and paint his face, and even his whole body; and, by other tricks and enticements of harlots, made himself more lascivious, and behaved more lewdly, than any harlot {a}; in short, all the Assyrian women must be harlots, since they were obliged once in their lifetime to lie with a stranger in the temple of Venus, whom the Assyrians call Mylitta, as Herodotus {b} and Strabo {c} relate; to all which here may be an allusion: and particularly the inhabitants of this city had all the arts of address and insinuation to deceive others as harlots have; and both men and women very probably were given to whoredom and adultery in a literal sense as is generally the case where luxury and intemperance abound; and especially were grossly guilty of idolatry, which in Scripture is frequently expressed by whoredom and adultery; worshipping Bel, Nisroch and other deities and which was highly provoking to God; and therefore for these things, his judgements came upon them, before and after described:

the mistress of witchcrafts:

thoroughly versed in such wicked and devilish practices, literally understood; see Isa 47:9,12 for the Assyrians, as well as the Babylonians and Chaldeans, were addicted to such diabolical arts, as appears from a passage in Theocritus {d}, which Grotius has also quoted; where one is represented saying that she kept in her box or chest very pernicious poisons, which she had learned from an Assyrian guest. The allusion seems to be to philtres, and other tricks used by harlots to besot young men, and bewitch and captivate them: likewise this city and its inhabitants were well versed in all the arts of flattery, deceit, and carnal policy; and in all the charms of wealth, riches, luxury, and sensuality, the pomp of superstition and idolatry, to draw in kingdoms and nations into subjection to them:

that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts;

enslaved whole kingdoms, and brought them under her power and dominion, to be her vassals; and was the instrument, not only of corporeal servitude, but of their selling themselves to work wickedness, by committing spiritual fornication or idolatry; into which multitudes were led by her influence and example, and particularly the kingdoms and families of Israel and Judah; see 2Ki 16:10; Eze 23:5,7,11,12. In these whoredoms and witchcrafts, as well as in her bloodthirstiness, lies, and oppression, Nineveh was a type of the whore of Rome;

Behold, I [am] against thee, saith the Lord of hosts,

Because her doings were against him; see Gill on “Na 2:13”:

and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face;

turn up the skirts of her garments over her head, and thereby discover what should be concealed, than which nothing is more disagreeable and abominable to modest persons; it is here threatened she should be used in character as a harlot, or as women oftentimes are by rude soldiers, when a city is taken by them:

and I will show the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame;

all her charms shall be taken away, and she become odious as a harlot to her former lovers; all her impostures, arts, and tricks, and shameful actions, will be discovered; and her aims and views at universal monarchy will be seen and her weakness to effect it made to appear; and, upon the whole, will become the object of the scorn and derision of kingdoms and nations.

And I will cast abominable filth upon thee,

As dirt and dung, or any or everything that is abominable and filthy; and which is thrown at harlots publicly disgraced, and as used to be at persons when carted. The meaning is, that this city and its inhabitants should be stripped of everything that was great and glorious in them, and should be reduced to the utmost shame and ignominy:

and make thee vile:

mean, abject, contemptible, the offscouring of all things; rejected and disesteemed of all; had in no manner of repute or account, but in the utmost abhorrence:

and I will set thee as a gazingstock;

to be looked and laughed at: or, “for an example” {e}; to others, that they may shun the evils and abominations Nineveh had been guilty of, or expect the same disgrace and punishment. Kimchi interprets it “as dung” {f}; to be no more reckoned of than that, or to be made a dunghill of; and so many others interpret it; or, “for a looking glass” {g}; that others may look into, and take warning, and avoid the sins that have brought on such calamities.

I trust in the LORD and in Jesus, hope I have more time to sell what I have and pray many will understand that God sees all.

I have gotten Isaiah 19 many times in the last several years, now with what has happen in Egypt and is occurring now (July 2013) it looks like it could happen soon, and as a watchman/servant of God I felt time to post again. In Isaiah 21 we see Babylon falling.  Is  Mystery Babylon next, right after Ethiopia? The “mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts?”

Isaiah 19 1:25

“The burden of Egypt. Behold,, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. 2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. * 3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. * *   4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts. * 5 And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up. 6 And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither. 7 The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more. * 8 The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish. 9 Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded. * 10 And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish. * * 11 ¶Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings? 12 Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt. 13 The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof. * 14 The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit. * 15 Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do. 16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it. 17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts, which he hath determined against it. 18 ¶In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the Lord of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction. * * 19 In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord. 20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. 21 And the Lord shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the Lord, and perform it. 22 And the Lord shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the Lord, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them. 23 ¶In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. 24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: 25 Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.”

Isaiah 21 6:10

For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth. 7 And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: 8 And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights: 9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground. 10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
